Adjusting the sound of MP3s

To adjust the sound of an MP3 using the equalizer:
1 Open the Window menu and choose Equalizer.
2 Click the Equalizer On checkbox.
3 Adjust the frequency sliders to boost/reduce specific audio frequencies.

The left-most sliders increase or decrease the bass, the right most sliders increase or decrease the treble, and the middle sliders adjust the mid-ranges, such as vocals.

Audion will remember your preferred audio settings for the next time you use the program. These settings also affect network audio streams.

Clicking the Reset button will move the sliders back to the default, neutral position.

Note: The equalizer does not work for CD audio.

Tip: Don't worry, the equalizer window scares even us. We recommend you use your ears as a guide while adjusting the sliders; don't worry about what all those numbers mean.
